Stumble
04:59
|
|||
Well I've owned my mistakes and
I'm sure that I'll own a number more
Before I finally head on out that door
'Til I leave the world I know
I must walk this winding path
But I need a hand to hold on to me fast
Lest I dash myself on the stone
Or get caught in the dangerous snare
I need someone on whom to cast all my cares
Cause I've been apt to Stumble
And I'm always likely to fall
And I've been known to lose myself
And face-plant into the wall
Yeah, I need strong hands to hold me
Cause I don't know the price of the pearl
It's a long way down to get out of this world
If the blind should lead the blind
They'll both fall into the pit
Well I've fallen more than I care to admit
So I need two eyes to watch me
And keep my feet on the right road
Someone strong enough to shoulder all my load
Cause I've been apt to Stumble
And I'm always likely to fall
And I've been known to lose myself
And face-plant into the wall
Yeah, I need strong hands to hold me
Cause I don't know the price of the pearl
It's a long way down to get out of this world
But I can't trust a man for anything
They'll just lead you on like a string
No, I need someone that's divine
Someone willing to suffer for me and die
Cause I've been apt to Stumble
And I'm always likely to fall
And I've been known to lose myself
And face-plant into the wall
Yeah, I need strong hands to hold me
Cause I don't know the price of the pearl
It's a long way down to get out of this world

Distant Feeling
03:41
|
|||
I've been burdened with this weight
For a long long time
And it's only getting heavier
Putting in your two cents and your dime
And the full moon is peeking through
Behind the clouds to see
What is all this going on?
Is it lunacy? Or maybe just me
The morning dew sets as the candle burns out
Is this a feeling from within
To hope and pray to be without
Am I outside looking in
Or inside looking out?
Playing the part you do it so well
Tiny fiddles and crocodile tears
Don't you know your lack of empathy
Has set us back years?
Look the clock keeps ticking
And I'm sure I've said my piece
I consider it a crying shame
But I hope your mind is at ease
The morning dew sets as the candle burns out
Is this a feeling from within
To hope and pray to be without
The morning dew sets as the candle burns out
Is this a feeling from within
To hope and pray to be without

Alethophobia

In seeking no counsel at the mouth of the Lord
The wisest men make themselves fools
Struggling to answer these questions themselves
Wondering why their end is so cruel
So think, are you fearful of hearing the truth?
Would you know it if it were so?
The ones that are there are not even aware
Their ignorance is all that they know
They're hypnotized by the light
And mesmerized by the sound
And paralyzed by the sight of what is going down
I see it clearly now
And I am not afraid
Of the truth anyway...
If I wear the full armor of God
I'll find that faith is my shield
The sword of the Spirit, The Word of God
These are the weapons I wield
So if I stand upon the field of battle
With this one weapon in my hand
It's given me victory over my enemy
Even if I die where I stand
I'm not hypnotized by the light
Or mesmerized by the sound
Or paralyzed by the sight of what is going down
I see it clearly now
And I am not afraid
Of the truth anyway...
So think, are you fearful of hearing the truth?
Would you admit it if it were so?
Will you break loose and acknowledge the truth
Or continue to go with the flow
And be hypnotized by the light
And mesmerized by the sound
And paralyzed by the sight of what is going down
That's not us anymore
And you never can tell
Who'll wake up from sleep and see the lies for which they fell
I see it clearly now
And I am not afraid
Of the truth anyway...

The Fourth Estate
03:55
|
|||
Electronic voices always come at me
Telling me the way things ought to be
Don't they realize that I plainly see
That they're only gaslighting me?
Electronic voices always planting seeds
But what's sown today reaps misery
Chip away the stone 'til we're no longer free
And just another page in history
Telling me the way things ought to be
That ain't the way things ought to be
And we used to hang on every word
Their report was the truth that we all heard
And because we always knew the face
We could trust the fourth estate
Bedrock principles, they're worn so thin
One cannot tell where they begin
Trustworthy pillar of society
So very sad to see it end
Telling me the way things ought to be
That ain't the way things ought to be
And we used to hang on every word
Their report was the truth that we all heard
And because we always knew the face
We could trust the fourth estate

The Word
05:50
|
|||
We're only passing through this space, never to return
For as we pass about the sun, the sun also passes in turn
See how we drift away through space, and across the universe
Where you'll be tomorrow is not where you are today
Oooh....
We're only here for awhile, the earth all our needs provide
Deals to us life and death, and her soil receives us when we die
Time will melt all our days away, and like the grass and flower
It will all pass away, It's all reserved for fire
Oooh...
Do you ever wonder where it all came from?
There are depths no man can plumb
Such thoughts can make a man feel small
If he even thinks at all
Haven't you read? Haven't you heard?
It's written down in The Word
Haven't you read? Haven't you heard?
It's written down in The Word
I'm only passing through this world, is not my home
One day I'll leave it all, but I won't be leaving alone
There are other worlds than these, but we need eyes to see
We must have ears to hear, and just one mouth to speak
Oooh...
Do you ever wonder where it all came from?
Who can count the sum?
Such thoughts can make a man feel small
If he even thinks at all
Haven't you read? Haven't you heard?
It's written down in The Word
Haven't you read? Haven't you heard?
It's written down in The Word

Lakeside Inn
03:48
|
|||
I gotta get on out before the thunder rolls
'Cause there's a storm coming, that's how it goes
The going gets tough and it's time to flee
To leave it all behind and take it to the sea
Where time will wash away all of my worries and all of my cares
The trees swiftly go by; it's good to be breathing the salt in the air
I need time to think, and consider what has been
I'll think it out, at the Lakeside Inn
Well it won't work out 'cause I won't do the work
I don't want the problems I just want the perks
When it all goes bad I run to get free
I escape the situation but I can't escape me
But time will wash away all of my worries and all of my cares
The world is passing me by but it's good to be breathing the salt in the air
When there's a choice to make, it's either sink or swim
I'll work it out, at the Lakeside Inn
Time will wash away all of my worries and all of my cares
But like a bird I must fly, It will be good to take to the air
To finish is much too hard, I only know how to begin
I'll see what's next, at the Lakeside Inn

Not Afraid to Die
04:14
|
|||
Not concerned about the blame
It wouldn't matter anyway
But I'm sure about one thing
It did not have to end this way
Now I know that you're not afraid to die
But you can't always just turn your face and hide
Truth is right before you but you push it all aside
Cause it's easier to believe the lies
The tunes we sang were much the same
The tune, it changed along the way
Much is lost but little gained
And the price is just to high to pay
Now you know that I'm not afraid to die
But I can't always just turn my face and hide
Truth is right before me but I push it all aside
Cause it's easier to believe the lies
No I don't think that you tried to see it my way
You know my constitution's running low
Cause we don't sing in harmony no more
But we know that we're not afraid to die
And we can't always just turn away and hide
Truth is right before us but we push it all aside
Cause it's easier to believe the lies
Some roads offer no way back
Find I'm on a one way track
My only light has fallen black
And I remember what I lack

Leaving Babylon
04:43
|
|||
When the masters call the tune
The people dance, dance, dance
And their eyes won't overlook you
There's not a chance, chance, chance
Fear is what their selling, and all the world is buying
But I don't want to buy that product no more
Beauty's in the beholder's sight
So close your eyes, eyes, eyes
That's what they've been telling you
But it's all lies, lies, lies
Look you'll see the darkness everywhere
Can't you sense the hatred in the air?
But you won't see me anymore
Cause I'm leaving Babylon
There's too much evil to ignore
That's why I'm heading for Zion
Better a servant in the temple of God
Than king of an evil world
I'm afraid they know about us
We better run, run, run
And if you'll take my advice
Pack a gun, gun, gun
Well don't show your face and don't dare trust a soul
And don't look back 'til you're far beyond their control
But you won't see me anymore
Cause I'm leaving Babylon
There's too much evil to ignore
That's why I'm heading for Zion
Better a servant in the temple of God
Than king of an evil world
We better run, run, run
We better run, run, run
